Bicycling is an important part of my life-journey (click to enlarge)

I started riding some
30 years ago. I had
always ridden in my
youth and it came very
my naturally to me.
To be alone on the bike,
free and surrounded by
the sights and sounds
of nature is very sensual
and exciting. Biking is
also very philosophical
and "humbling". I learned
be alone with and enjoy ME,
the person. I learned to take
what THE ROAD AND THE WIND
WOULD GIVE ME and to enjoy
every moment. I also learned
to SEE.

Irises ..one of my favorite flowers

I have been cartooning my whole life (click on to enlarge)

I started cartooning
when I was 7 yrs old.
It never stopped.
I have files full of the
faces that escaped from
my mind as I listened
to lectures from
grade school on.
In classes , in workshops,
in meetings of all kinds,
they flowed on to the
edgeds of my notes.
I officialy cartooned for
the Akron U paper and for
Army publications.

ABOUT ME

An Akron native and a graduate of Akron U and Kent State, I taught English and Theater in Akron area schools. Then I served as Director of Health Education for the City of Akron Health Department.

In 1985 I started a business as a lecturer/workshop leader, making over 3000 presentations in the past 30 years, to local, state, national, and international organizations, speaking on physical health, the mind/body connection, self-esteem, humor/laughter, and dimensions of wellness

My drawings, cartoons, and graphic designs have appeared in the

Since 1985, I have been exploring my artistic expression, through collage, painting, and photography.

A photograph of my Akron Ohio street in the Fall, selected as “Photo of the Day” by America OnLine, has been downloaded by some 4000 individuals all over the U.S.
